Job Summary

The incumbent will efficiently manage data retrieval, sorting, classification, arrangement and arrangement for storage and preservation. In addition, you will be tasked with document scanning, data capturing, and organizing everything to ensure our data is as user-friendly and accessible as a well-labelled library.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge

  • Form 5, Certificate in Library and Information Studies, Archives and Records Management, or a related field from a recognized tertiary institution. 
  • At least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Knowledge of document storage technologies would be an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft applications.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Be a strong team player with good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and maintain a quality level required as per business.
  • Excellent customer service skills (if applicable).
  • Understanding of data security and confidentiality principles.

Key Performance Areas

Data Management:

  • Data retrieval and shelving from storage.
  • Data sorting, identification, accessioning, and arrangement.
  • Data inventorying.

Document Handling:

  • Scanning and digitizing information.
  • Repackaging data for shelving and preservation.

Competencies

  • Experience in scanning information for digitization.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Target-oriented and detail-focused.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding reports in English.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Additional Considerations:

  • Familiarity with specific underwriting software is a plus.
  • Adaptability to perform various tasks across different departments.
  • Commitment to maintaining data security and confidentiality.
