We are looking for a Technical Manager who will serve as the Principal Officer of Alpha Direct Insurance.
Position Overview: This position is responsible for driving operational efficiency while ensuring full compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.
The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operational and compliance matters, act as the primary liaison with NBFIRA and other regulatory bodies and provide assurance that the company meets the highest governance and risk management standards.

The role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
Role Responsibilities:
- Compile and submit compliance statutory and supervisory reports to the regulatory authorities.
- Ensures the implementation of requirements arising out of new and amended regulatory and supervisory items are communicated and implemented on time.
- Conduct and/or facilitate internal trainings and presentations on legislation and compliance.
- Builds relations and liaises with Regulators and/or supervisory bodies.
- Applies risk management principles and processes to identify compliance risks and ensure proper implementation of the compliance methodology to provide assurance on the levels and management of compliance.
- Ensure quarterly submission of statutory and/or regulatory reports
- Ensure annual submission of statutory and/or regulatory reports.

Operational
- Supervising the team to ensure compliance with industry protocols/regulations in a risk-based manner.
- Assessing the principal tasks of the company and ensuring that these are monitored and managed.
- Ensuring effective internal control and management information systems in place
- Act as the primary point of contact to the regulator and other bodies.
- Monitor industry and regulatory developments, including those relating to AML and CFT.
- Ensure compliance within related parties.
Processes
- Maintain confidentiality of all correspondence and communication.
- Handle all regulatory communication including letters and memorandums and responding to routine E-mail.
- To provide the appropriate response to stakeholders.
- To provide a general oversight to Alpha Direct's Compliance and regulatory matters.
- Ensure all compliance and regulatory processes are adhered to by all stakeholders.
Financial Responsibilities
- Manage filling of hard/ softcopies of documents, coordinate the flow of paperwork and apply necessary data restrictions (confidentiality) and access controls
- Provides management information system reports as required.
- Create/amend presentation decks in line with Alpha Direct requirements
- Ensure effective Third-party supplier and/or vendor management.
Service Management
- Oversee problem and incident management to ensure the client's expectations are met (or exceeded)
- Ensure Minimal registered complaints with NBFIRA
- Ensure escalated matters are timely managed and addressed
- Document all complaints via complaints register.
Governance
- Drive a culture of ethical leadership, accountability, and transparency, embedding the company's values across all levels of the organization.
- Act as the primary governance liaison between the company, the Board of Directors and NBFIRA, ensuring timely reporting and transparent engagement with regulators.
- Ensure all Management meetings are minute and signed off.
- Ensure all board meetings are minute, signed off and filled.

Our Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum Associate (AIISA) or Higher in a recognized Insurance Institution or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a Managerial Position in an Insurance environment
- Member of an Insurance Professional body.
