Position Overview

As an Independent Insurance Agent, you will be the face of Alpha Direct Insurance. Your role involves actively seeking new business opportunities, providing tailored insurance solutions, and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction. You'll have the autonomy to manage your portfolio while being supported by our dynamic team and comprehensive resources.

Key Qualifications

  • A minimum of COP-Short-Term ( Non-Life) 
  • A diploma in insurance, or any insurance-related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in non-life insurance.
  • Proficiency in non-life insurance products and services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Customer-focused with a passion for providing exceptional service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve targets.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and Generate New Business: Actively seek out and generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and other lead-generation strategies.
  • Analyze and Recommend Insurance Solutions: Assess risks, determine appropriate coverage, and recommend tailored insurance solutions to meet clients’ needs.
  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain and retain business by keeping accurate client records and policy documentation, addressing client inquiries, and providing ongoing support.
  • Administrative Duties: Ensure all client interactions and policy details are in line with industry compliance standards.
  • Claims Management: Attend to all claims issues, ensuring all required documentation is available and acting as the main point of contact for clients regarding claims.
  • Marketing and Lead Generation: Responsible for prospecting, advising, identifying insurable risks, and obtaining letters of Authority or Appointment on new business.
  • Portfolio Design and Presentation: Design portfolios, source quotations from the Underwriting Department, package portfolios for client presentation, and close business deals.
  • Placing/Binding Cover: Ensure all documentation for policies is thoroughly checked and submitted to Underwriting as per procedures.
  • Premium Collection: Facilitate and assist in collecting premiums on new business, renewals, and endorsements.

  • Achieve monthly targets for new business, renewals, and endorsements.
  • Maintain a high level of client satisfaction through proactive communication and problem-solving.
  • Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and company policies.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of non-life insurance products and services.

Additional Responsibilities

  • New Business Development: Consistently achieve targets set by Alpha Direct and participate in monthly performance reviews.
  • Portfolio Administration: Manage overall administrative issues for your portfolio to ensure efficient servicing and retention of business.
  • Client Advisory: Conduct full needs analysis for clients and provide expert advice on suitable insurance products.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all client records and documentation are maintained accurately and in compliance with industry standards.
