Client Onboarding Intern (Health Insurance)

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Client Onboarding Intern to join our Health Insurance team.
This 12-month internship offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or final-year student to gain practical experience in health insurance administration,
client onboarding, compliance, and customer service. If you enjoy working with accuracy, thrive in an organized environment, and are passionate about

Key Responsibilities
Application Processing & Verification
- Capture new individual, SME, and employer-group membership applications accurately into the membership administration system.
- Verify all onboarding documentation, including Omang/ID copies, employer confirmations, proof of income, and dependent information.
- Identify incomplete or inconsistent applications and follow up with the relevant sales teams or clients.
- Accurately capture waiting periods, benefit commencement dates, and dependent records in accordance with scheme rules.
Records, Compliance & Reporting
· Maintain complete and accurate onboarding records in accordance with Alpha Direct's data governance standards and the Botswana DPA.
· Monitor onboarding turnaround times and proactively report delays.
· Assist in preparing weekly onboarding reports.
· Support internal audits by ensuring onboarding files are complete and compliant with regulatory requirements, including NBFIRA standards.

Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Health Informatics, Health Information Management, Healthcare Service Management, or a related discipline.
- Final-year students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience in administration, data capture, customer service, or healthcare administration will be an added advantage but is not essential.
